Ousama Alshurafa's Beautiful Explanation of Iman! Full Interview on The ضياء عليان | Deya Elayyan YouTube Channel Using This Link -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RRHRAj-dHk #ousamaalshurafa #islamiceducation #muslims #islam #dunyadecoded #iman This has been famously reported as an incident between Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and the Sahabi; Sayyiduna Harith ibn Malik (radiyallahu ‘anhu). The complete incident is as follows: “Once Rasulullah (sallallahu ’alayhi wa sallam) asked the Sahabi; Sayyiduna Harith ibn Malik (radiyallahu ’anhu): ‘How are you this morning?’ He replied: ‘I am a true believer this morning’ Rasulullah (sallallahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said: ‘Every claim has a reality (proof), so what is the reality (proof) for your claim?’ He replied: ‘Since this morning, I have distanced myself from the world, I spent my night awake in worship and my day fasting.[Such is my conviction, that] I can almost see the throne of my Rabb being brought for accountability [on the day of Judgement]. [Such is my conviction, that] I can almost see the inhabitants in Jannah visiting one another therein, and I can almost hear the screams of the inhabitants of Jahannam.’ Rasulullah (sallallahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said to him: ‘[You are] a slave whose heart has been illuminated with Iman (belief). Remain steadfast on this perception of yours.’” The above incident is recorded in many Hadith works with various weak chains, among them Musannaf ibn Abi Shaybah, Hadith: 31064 and Kitabuz Zuhd of Imam ‘Abdullah Ibnul Mubarak (rahimahullah), Hadith: 314. Also see Al-Isabah, number: 1483. The collective strength of the chains makes it suitable to quote. (See end of footnote to Hadith: 31064 of Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah) Note: Similar incidents have been reported about other Sahabah as well. Refer to Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah, Hadith: 31062, Musnadush Shihab, Hadith: 1028 and Hayatus Sahabah, vol. 4, pgs. 328-330.
