Uh oh someone’s gonna be the next seedstock producer trust me Raising Bulls is an addiction. I bought a couple registered simmy Cows with the plan of raising my own bulls and then I sold the bull calves for more than I paid for the cow and I thought well. This is fun.

I did the same two years ago. I had a STUD of a bull calf. Learn from my mistakes. Err on the side of early weening. At 5-6 months he was feeling his oats if you will already and jumped on a couple cows and anally prolapsed. Apparently that’s a lot more likely at that stage bc of the angles and muscle development. I was told you’re better off castrating at that point bc it will be a continual problem from then on. That was the end of that prospect. So now I ween any prospects earlier than normal.
