I made this with my grandma like 40 years ago!!! We used crimping scissors to cut the squares to help prevent fraying and it made it look cool!!

back in the 70s we did this on styrofoam balls and made ornaments…you can also press the scraps down into the styrofoam ball in varying size pieces and patterns and it’ll look quilted
