Designed for the region's warm tropical climate, the project eliminates the conventional distinction between house and garden, encouraging an outdoor lifestyle where living spaces remain naturally open throughout the day and night. The defining feature of the project is its concept of "a garden with a house" rather than a house with a garden. Traditional façades, windows, and glass walls are largely removed, allowing vegetation, wind, and daylight to flow freely through the architecture. This creates a continuous relationship between interior and exterior, where courtyards, terraces, and living areas merge into one habitable landscape. Constructed primarily from board-formed concrete, brick, and timber, the houses embrace material permanence and the natural aging process. Ludwig Godefroy describes the architecture as a simple shelter where the patina of time becomes part of the design itself.
