Tbh, Morgan is a very outdated character concept, back in the 80s “mysterious cool guy who’s mostly known through rumours and work of mouth” was pretty cool, in 2026 it’s a huge cliche. But no matter what I’ll trust the creator of the world more than a larp tik tok trend.

The fuck are y'all on? You think the LotR books didn't set feats for Aragorn before the movie came out? The Cyberpunk lore is the Cyberpunk lore. Blackhand worked for Militech and had a key role in major events that led to 2077. Y'all act like that game and Edgerunners is all there is. Blackhand IS him. It's literally indisputable, Pondsmith has final say on lore, and he has stated Blackhand is the baddest dude in the setting.

I disagree. He’s not a statement merchant, he’s a victim of copyright. Mike Pondsmith literally asked CDPR to refrain from using Blackhand in the 2077 base game because he’s saving him for future lore and making him a "mystery". The characters in universe didn't forget him, it's just that the real-world writers just weren't allowed to touch him yet.

People act like he’s super crazy statement merchant but he’s literally just the “good guy” version of Adam Smasher. He’s exactly as talked about and as important as Adam before Edgreunners and 2077 came out. Like if Morgan had been in the game and show instead of Adam we’d be saying the exact same things about Adam smasher we’ve had two, soon to be three, actual big pieces of Media outside of the tabletops until rn. the cyberpunk world is mike pondsmiths baby, the sheer size of world building and lore is insane, he has been making this for 30+years, it makes no sense for him to start cyberpunk as a television/video game series with THE CYBERPUNK, also the claim "noone talks about him enough" hes a legend among legends not every random or low level is going to know them also we have spent most of the series experiencing the world through the eyes of low level merc making their way to the top then quickly burning out(etc V, Johnny, David), Blackhand is known for being a legend and not dying or giving up.
