@reidhomestead: Let me be clear, this is what I DO, but you do not have to if it doesn’t work for you 😜 (posted this a year ago today and everyone lost it so let’s try again and everyone remain calm!) #laundrydetergent #homemadelaundrydetergent
Do you “wash” your dishes with water only or rinse aid only? Cause that’s what’s happening here. You are leaving out the actual soap.

My husband is blue collar, we have a small homestead and his work clothes aren’t stained because we use Tide :/

It’s like washing your hands without soap.

For someone who doesn’t care about laundry, you sure put a lot more effort into it than the rest of us. I just buy a detergent that works, toss it in, and start the load. No extra products, no extra container, and no mixing. 😭

slightly odd to be this aggressive about laundry.

Just add an Ariel bag to whatever this is and I promise you you’ll see a difference.

It’s truly fascinating people who need to have everything fit the homestead aesthetic so bad. They’ll actually do something less effective and more expensive because it fits the vibe better 😭

It’s not stains though; it’s legitimately unwashed, dirty clothes. You say it “works” for you but it doesn’t work for

Both of those things are detergent boosters. You need detergent to actually wash the clothing in. Because they lack surfactants (the ingredients that lift dirt away), washing clothes with only these two minerals will leave behind soil and over time cause a dingy, grey buildup. This information can be found on Google with a better explanation as to why these don’t clean your clothes. By using the laundry boosters only you are just rinsing your clothes with laundry boosters.

There’s not a single thing in there that washes your laundry babe. Those are boosters not detergents.

Your approach is to not wash them?… to just splash some water on it and call it a day ?

Those are both boosters no detergent to be found. So you’re not washing anything.

this is so much more work than just throwing the clothes in the washer with actual detergent 🤷 I also don't really care about sorting and stuff but I do care about having clothes that aren't disgusting.

This is exactly how to get skin issues. Your clothes are not getting cleaned! These are boosters. Just get powder detergent from costco or Sams the big container. It will last sooo long. Or the bag ones in walmart. That actually cleans clothes

I'm not sure the laundry soap lady laundrytok Melissa pateras would like this. I'd love to make soap but I'm hung up on how to add enzymes to help break down the dirt

It’s because so many of us grew up in a time when you may have gotten a couple of outfits before school started and another one for Christmas or your birthday. We were taught to take care of our clothes so they would last longer. We valued them so much because we knew we couldn’t just go out and buy a new outfit, so it was worth taking the time to not turn our light clothes dark, and not ruin our bras in three months. I’m also a fan of homemade laundry detergent. ❤️But still to this day, I value my clothes enough to take care of them.
