the issue with having a child with down syndrome is that you don’t know the severity of it until the child is born or gets older, it’s another option for those who don’t have the ability to care for a child with down syndrome. not everyone has the choice to stay home or pay the medical bills the child will need. would you rather the child not be born, or live a life of struggle along with the parents? abortion is healthcare.

pro-lifers are hurting real people. im not talking about the fetus. im talking about the woman who has to spend the next 18 years of her life dedicated to someone else because “she had sex.” thats punishment. yes there are natural consequences but being forced to endure them for that reason is such a sad thing to see. you aren’t forced to endure a disease, you aren’t forced to endure an injury. not that it’s comparable, but you have to look at the cause vs the affect. you are legally not allowed to use someone else’s body without consent for a reason. and consent to sex doesn’t mean she has to endure all 9 months. consent also has to be ongoing. it’s not a contract. the woman has dreams and ambitions being stripped away from her for having sex. pregnant women lose lots of job opportunities because “pregnant women cant work to their full potential” and women are defending it. and using their religion to justify it. not everyone believes the same thing. and that religion was also used to justify slavery. pro- lifers are harming women over someone who wouldn’t know a thing if it happened to them. they genuinely believe a 10 year old 🍇 victim has to give birth because “the fetus shouldn’t be punished.” the 10 year old girl is being punished. twice. but you don’t care. you only think about the non-important person in this matter. a fetus has no established life making it less important. when i say established life i mean having goals and dreams, relationships and memories, experiences and personality, a sense of self, and an independent place in society. these women are being hurt by your choice of making the fetus superior. they’re forced to endure loss of opportunity, pain and discomfort, distress, and loss of financial, physical, and/or mental stability. and what does the fetus endure? you guys are seriously brainwashed in this “good moral” thing when in reality people are dying. 250k a year. how can you be pro-life and not look at the reality of what’s going on?? children are impoverished. they’re being abused and neglected everywhere. and the rates are only gonna go up. and people will be having unsafe abortions that ACTUALLY hurt someone else.

Abortion should be universally available to anyone, regardless of circumstance. Pregnancy is unlike anything else, and any decision should be left to the pregnant person. Restricting abortion has historically led to arbitrary rules that block necessary medical care, resulting in the deaths of pregnant people and born infants.

Would you rather them be parented by people who are unprepared for a child with extra needs? Or them end up on the foster care system for years on end and never have a “family” of their own. I urge you to look on your states CPS website for adoptable children and look at how many have disabilities.
