Botswana build its first University under Sir Seretse Khama after being chased out by Lesotho in 1978. People contributed chickens, eggs, bowls of grain, beans, melons, oranges, pales of milk, goats, sheep, donkeys, horses, cattle, some contributed their small wages, others brought their axes, hoes etc and volunteered to clear the site where the University was to be built. The University has been in and out of the top 30 universities in Africa. We are humbled that President Traore is emulating one of of Africa’s greatest GOAT - Sir Seretse Khama Botswana’s 1st President. At the time of independence the entire country had only 3km of tarred road
