He actually killed her Mom in the bedroom as well. She just didn’t realize it when she called 911, so she thought the Mom had left the house earlier that morning. Police discovered that once they got there. 🥺

As an ER nurse.. people don’t break down until they see, feel, or hear safety. She’s in fight or flight. She won’t break down until she feels safe again.

He killed her boyfriend and her mother to ensure she lives the rest of her life in emotional agony. That’s why he didn’t kill her. He spared her so she could experience a life long, enduring, permanent pain.

As a previous 911 dispatcher, I can say that when I answer the phone and the person is calm, I know things are very serious. Many people are very calm and clear in an emergency.

Not everyone freaks out in times like this. Shock affects us all differently

I used to be a 911 dispatcher her calm isnt weird shock and adrenaline are a hell of a thing. Her focusing on weird details is very common in stressful situations.

Why are people tearing apart how she handled the situation? Why can’t we accept the fact that everyone reacts differently to stress & trauma?

As a former 911 dispatcher/call taker…both sides of this call is normal…she’s in shock and the dispatcher is keeping the call moving and asking all the right questions

During times of crisis I calm way down and think more clearly then usually. Just Saying. Then later I freak out.

For the people that are saying she doesn’t sound shocked. She is probably IN SHOCK! I would’ve fainted. She is SO brave for explaining the everything in the fashion she did. I hope she is doing ok

Do not act calm at all during emergencies or you will be blamed.

In addition to shock and adrenaline, having someone speak to you (the operator) in a very calm and matter of fact way helps to ground you. Asking questions keeps your brain moving so it can’t dwell on the trauma.

Someone kidnapped and attempted to murder me while I was at school. I was 14. When he finally let me go, I calmly walked out the door, went to the front office and all I said was “I think I need some help”. That’s it. Everyone was freaking out and I said “it’s okay, don’t freak out. Call my dad he’ll know what to do” being in shock is a crazy thing. My head was bashed in, scull fractured, a finger shattered, blood covering my head, dripping down my face and neck. I was calm for hours after. I only freaked out when they told me they had to shave part of my head. Her response is so incredibly normal. Y’all know absolutely nothing about the human brain and how it works

I knew her personally. When this happened everyone was in shock. She was a teenage girl who went through something extremely traumatic. I deleted my Facebook years ago but last I heard she was doing good. I hope she never sees these comments because she doesn’t deserve that.
