African slavery begins with the egyptians, the first writing of slavery comes from 2900 bc when the farao's needed workers and they got them from neighbouring countrys. It is to be believed that the actual start of African slavery started a few thousand years before that. In the 1400's the Portugese were the first to buy slaves and trade them out around the world out of Africa. so more then 4000 years after Africans made other Africans slaves
