@fulltime.freebirds: Alaska Update: Touring Our New 10 Acre Lot in Alaska Join us for a quick tour of our remote 10 acre property in South Central Alaska. We’ve been hard at work clearing the land entirely by hand, a decision that is already saving us tens of thousands of dollars, as we prepare to build our future cabin. Because of the lot's remote location, we cannot bring in heavy machinery. Even our rental Tacoma can barely get close to the lot. That means tree and stump removal is being done the old fashioned way: axes, machetes, and a few ratchet straps. We’re putting in the work and excited to see the progress coming along. We’re keeping ourselves motivated by our future vision, our haters, and a healthy amount of naivety about what we can accomplish.
