Investigators say unauthorized transfers and purchases began December 22 and continued through April 2026. The investigation began after parents complained about missing uniforms. League board members began noticing discrepancies and reported missing money. Detectives say the league’s account which once held thousands of dollars, eventually dropped into the negative. Police allege Prado stole $64,351.24 through unauthorized Zelle transfers, cash withdrawals and personal purchases, including charges at a strip club, casino bars, rideshare services, airline tickets and erectile dysfunction medication. He is also accused of altering bank statements to conceal the transactions. Police also noted that Prado had a prior felony conviction for robbery out of Riverside County, California, in 2012, and failed to register as a convicted person living in Clark County. Prado was arrested on July 2, 2026, on charges of theft, forgery and failing to comply with convicted person registration requirements. Prado’s next court appearance is scheduled for July 30, 2026. Despite the alleged theft, the league's season will continue.
