This is misguided. Dividends are irrelevant. Only total returns matter. Higher total return with no dividend provides for greater spending than a lower total return with higher dividends.

Dividends for mutual funds/etf’s are reflected in the share price because when they are declared the share price drops by a corresponding amount so the value of your portfolio remains the same.
