that's what my bf (now ex) of 4 years would tell me all the time!

Get a grip if someone says “there’s no point in seeing each other if you’re gonna constantly wear clown costume” that does not mean they only care about what their partner is wearing

she found all this out in one date, that's quicker than most of us usually rotten people don't expose themselves until they have an upper hand. this wouldn't bother me it was just one night and they figured it out before the 2nd date ever happened. anyone can end a dating scenario at any point for no reason at all and if he wanted to do it because of intimacy then so be it it's just part of dating.

we do not have all the facts. all we have is this one voice memo that never should've been posted.
but from what I heard. he doesn't want to have ONLY dates. I personally disagree with that philosophy. but he's not wrong for wanting dating and banging early on in dating.

Yeah, dude, like. That was him saying he’s not coming over anymore. You guys are acting like this was the initiation. He told her what she was interested in she gave her not answer. That was him sort of being like I’m not coming here why let’s go our separate ways and you guys keep trying to turn it into like some sort of manipulation thing.

No because maybe he wants to make sure they get along before he was clear about his intentions? If he fronted with “I want sex” it would come across like he just wanted a hookup or fwb which he doesn’t. He just doesn’t want to invest in someone who might not be sexually compatible

Hot Take: There's nothing inherently wrong with hookup culture or sexually socializing. It mechanically functions similar to a potluck as the quality of the culture depends on what we bring to it. Do we bring maturity, patience, and understanding as we share each other, or do we bring insecurity, immaturity, and malice? He came with maturity and honesty and said what he wanted. She responded with immaturity and insecurity, because he wanted something different.
Thought experiment: Let's say they agreed to have sex actually. But before they do, she sends him a voice note saying that she will only meet him if they don't have sex. Was what she did coercive?
He wasn't trying to gain consent at all. He made it clear you don't have to give me consent.
His only crime is being uneducated in asking for sex in sexually repressed society, and the biggest crime is that this situation will only serve to delegitamize actual cases of coercion and manipulation.

The question should be if she gets pregnant is he gonna be telling her to board it or is he gonna be with her all the way because he really clearly cares about sex shit does he really care about her and what happened?

Him saying “there’s no point” doesn’t exclusively mean what ur saying it does. You’re making assumptions. It’s very possible (and I think more likely) that he could feel like he knows them well enough to be comfortable moving into the nest stage in regard to where he wants to take their relationship. If that’s the case, there’s no false pretences. Sex is enjoyed by women too and some look for it. Many don’t have a long laundry list of things that need to be checked before partaking in something that both parties enjoy. It’s a good thing that the people who are looking for the same thing find eachother and those who don’t, don’t. This is so silly. If you’re going to allow receiving attention be the thing that keeps you hooked into a relationship where your intentions don’t align, that’s just sad and a clear sign of low self esteem.

You know how I know that guy is weird? Because a lot of the videos I’ve seen of people calling him out are from straight men 😂 furthermore, truly direct communication would be him saying “ I’m really only interested in casual sexual relationships right now, if that doesn’t work for you that’s OK” not whatever the hell that voice note was

Did he not say that specifically going to her house if they weren’t having sex was the “there’s no point” thing??? He wasn’t saying no to another date. But yea, if you’re trying to test compatibility, home is generally the sex one. So there wouldn’t be a point if that’s off the table. Go do something fun instead.

How are people defending him? Expecting sex on demand is never acceptable which is how I interpreted his voice mail.

Did anyone listen to the original voice note? They already spoke ab sex on the first date and she said i dont know. Thats not consent. Then he mustve pretended to be ok with it cuz otherwise why she agree to a second date? Thats deceit and deceit is rape culture. Then he thought her boundaries are negotiable by using an ultimatum. Thats coercion and coercion is rape culture
