@classicfm: New music, and a nice Chianti. 🍷 Sir Anthony Hopkins, best known as one of the UK's most prolific actors including as Hannibal Lecter in 'The Silence of the Lambs', has returned to the recording studio for the first time in over a decade. The actor and lifelong classical music fan has recently signed an exclusive deal with Decca Classics, and will release a new album 'Life is a Dream' on 21 August this summer. Recorded by star Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel and the Philharmonia Orchestra, Hopkins' album contains music dedicated to his home country of Wales, as well as musical tributes to his nearest and dearest. This piece, named 'Bracken Road', is part of a suite for solo piano and orchestra, based on a melody he originally wrote in 1963 as a young actor at the Liverpool Playhouse. 🎥 Decca Classics
