My opinion is that Rose is never someone you can judge fully. She is both a good and bad person. She was deceptive, even to those she trusted most. Pearl, someone who never would’ve betrayed her, didn’t even know certain things about her. She treated Earthlings like lesser beings, yet she fought for them tooth and nail. But is it good to fight with people by your side that could never hope to survive everything you have? She was a diamond, fighting alongside those who could never hope to be that strong. There was never any REAL risk for her. People like to say she gave birth to Steven to run from her past, but she never needed to! No one ever would’ve found out she was Pink because the story she developed had no true holes, because no one thought of it critically until Rose Quartz’s trial. Rose was unquantifiable, and I think that is the most amazing thing about her character. She operates in the gray areas of what we humans consider morality.
