@c5news: Police said the death did not appear to be politically motivated. Police have announced that a 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of Ann Widdecombe. The 78-year-old former Tory politician was found dead at her home in Dartmoor, reportedly covered in blood and suffering a serious head wound, at 11.40am on Thursday. The arrested man, a white British national, is in custody having been arrested at an address in Newton Abbott. Assistant Chief Constable Matt Longman said there was nothing to suggest the death was politically motivated. Mr Longman did not comment on what injuries Miss Widdecombe suffered or give any further details around the man’s arrest. #5news #police

This is so sad, she was a force to be reckoned with. No nonsense common sense. Didn't agree with everything she said but she could respect that. Take politics out of it and she was a vulnerable elderly lady in her late 70's living on her own. 😢
