I went to uni during lockdown. We ended up doing on zoom calls from our bedrooms for a practical fashion degree. We paid the same price as someone who years before us would have had an incredible hands on experience. Eventually 90% of us dropped out and I think around 6 people actually graduated. There’s only one person out the approx 50 of us that started the degree with a job in fashion. It is completely ridiculous and disgusting that I was still expected to pay 10k a year for what was barely 10% of the education we needed to lean in order to get a job in the industry. It was never ever spoken about or touched upon. Just shut up and get on with it. Now I’m paying back the student loan every single month 😵💫😳 it is insane that it isn’t talked about more, as I, like many, didn’t know what else to do except for go to uni and rack up a hefty loan.

Nothing will be done. But can you imagine the hell that would be raised if it came out that state pensions had been missold? Totally unfair and unequal treatment.

It’s Government self interest to sell university as the golden path as they make shit tonnes from it - they aren’t going to go “nah it’s not good for 90% of you” then they chnage terms as they are government and afting like Miss Trunchball “i’m right, you’re wrong…and there’s nothing you can do about it”
