Because of that agreement, defense attorneys say they did not question student witnesses about statements describing Austin as aggressive, easily triggered, unwilling to tolerate disrespect, and previously involved in fights. The filing also says the defense planned to call alleged victims of the Metcalf twins’ bullying and violence, question teachers about disciplinary records, and present testimony concerning an alleged arrest involving racist graffiti.
