@moneycoachdave: What income class are you in for 2026? These are the 2026 US Income Classes. These household income ranges break down poverty, lower class, middle class, upper-middle class, and upper class. Just remember, this is based on total household income. So if multiple people in your household earn money, you would add those incomes together before finding your range. Did you land where you expected, or were you pleasantly or unpleasantly surprised? #Income #Salary #SalaryTransparency #FinancialLiteracy #PersonalFinance

So I’m upper class but I can’t afford a house. Crazy.

Being considered upper class but not being able to afford a SFH. Now we got a condominium property but not the size a “upper class” would imagine. Yes we are working towards that goal but we really don’t spend a ton of money and we’re in our early 30s.

This type of data is so wildly region specific, you can't broaden it to the whole US. In San Francisco you have junior developers making $165k+ but when lunch is $30-40 and the average one bed is $3,500 it's less comparable

middle middle class is laughable. middle class used to mean 1 income buying a house in the burbs and 2-4 kids. today it's a renters income for something not renovated since the 70s with 2 incomes and no kids.

I never understood this. Your class depends so heavily on where you live. Portland Oregon is not the same as pflugerville Texas

Clearly nobody thought about cost of living because 50k in NYC is a lot different than 50k in a rural Midwest town

Now if you live in California there’s a totally different chart. As anything less than $104,000 is considered poverty.
