I haven’t washed my denim in 90 days! 👖😷 Today I’m finally giving my selvedge denim that I designed for @Left Field their first soak and wash after three months of wearing them every single day. How to wash selvedge / raw denim : - Undo the cuffs and brush of any dirt - Turn the jeans inside out - Fill a bath with cold water - Use a small amount of dark color, cold water detergent and stir around the bath - Submerge denim and agitate by hand to simulate a washing machine - Leave submerged for 45 minutes and return to agitate every 15 minutes - Drain the bath and shake out excess water - Roll dry the jeans inside a towel and squeeze out until damp and not dripping - Hang dry for a day! I know a lot of people will wait much longer to wash their selvedge denim, but as someone who sweats a lot and works in these jeans, to avoid blowouts and keep the cotton strong, I do my initial soaks after 90 wears.
