Both Minato and Koyun have their issue to resolve. Minato with his people pleaser and savior complex, Koyun with her avoidance. The same thing about them are they hide their true feelings. They have their own guilt too. Minato with those girls he dated without real feelings, and koyun with Igarashi for using him for her own benefit. But they learned and grew to be better person. When you think about it, Mianto and Koyun finally "meet" when both of them resolve their own issue, when they finally are not afraid to show their true feelings. Minato knows that's the barrier that couldn't make them together sooner, so he said in one panel that they have to promise to tell each other their own feelings honestly 😊

every character in the ramparts of ice has made mistakes. every single one of them carries their own past, family issues, fears, and emotional scars. that's why i think Koucha Agasawa sensei is such an incredible writer. she doesn't write characters to be perfect or easy to love. she writes people. people who get lost, hurt others, make terrible decisions, and sometimes don't even understand themselves. but behind every mistake, there's always a reason. not an excuse, but a reason. that's what makes it so hard for me to truly hate anyone in this story. the more you learn about each character, the more you understand why they became the way they are. and then, instead of watching perfect people fall in love, you're watching imperfect people slowly heal, grow, and learn how to love honestly. to me, that's what makes the ramparts of ice so special. every character feels human, and every character is so beautifully written.

I feel like the fandom should stop blaming Momoka👀Minato played the bigger role in why they dated and I think this should be acknowledged. Everyone is flawed but at the end of the day all grew from it. Infact Minato and Momoka shares the same situation but playes the opposite role esp from her backstory.
