And don’t forget MCAS. MCAS isn’t overly likely if you just have hEDS. But if you have both hEDS and POTS, there’s about a 60% chance of having MCAS as well, which can cause allergy like reactions without necessarily having distinguishable or consistent triggers. Anxiety disorders are also about 70%, which was largely unexplained until a study found that people with hEDS had significantly larger than average amygdalas on average, which is thought to contribute.

I have Chiari malformation, adhd, inappropriate sinus tachycardia, raynauds syndrome, orthostatic headaches, “fibromyalgia”, chronic migraines, GAD, PDD, PMDD, among others I can’t remember. I suspect I am AuDHD and have MCAS, POTS and hEDS because of lifelong symptoms. Writing it ALL out is disgusting and hurts my heart. Understanding it all and making sense in this body I was given has been a huge struggle but seeing other people and realizing those things I feel are real and I’m not crazy. Well, I guess technically I am. 😂
