Hey - so I work a lot with bamboo. Been in the profession about 30 years. The best advice I can give you is - don’t plant bamboo. Hope this helps.

we have them in our garden. advice of our gardener : do NOT try to dig up the roots, or the cutting and breaking of them will produce wild offshoots everywhere. he said to patiently and stubbornly cut all the bamboos at 2-3cm max and not let them grow higher. After a time the lack of photosynthesis will kill it (he says)
