That’s because corrupt driving instructors industry was charging £300 to £400 for booking a test when it’s only £62 any instructor who charge more then £62 report them to DSA

My learners can’t get cancellations at all on the DVSA site, going on daily queuing and nothing. It’s a nightmare. DVSA should have there own app like Testi

Yes agreed it’s just exposed the real problem as you say not enough tests available.. just got to make the best of it, I don’t see much changing now for the next few years at least 🥲

My experience has been absolutely shocking. You go onto the DVSA portal, then change your test but none are available and then if you do find one, you're flagged as a bot and restricted for a certain amount of time for supposedly tapping too quickly. The latest changes might've levelled the playing field, but it's just increased the difficulty by so much. They should come out with their own DVSA app which learners have to manually refresh for test and the fastest tapper wins of sorts. Then, that's fair.

I don’t understand why they stopped testi it was a perfect app as it redirects you to book tests yourself once notified it’s how I got my test as I tried for weeks and had no luck , yes it was £12.99 but it worked

I passed my theory on the 29th, my practical isn’t until December. Cancellations are pretty much non existent.

I had to cancel my test on the 4aug booked another one but the only date I got is Dec that means 5 more months of lessons and more money to pay out

The dvsa over reacted with the changes there needs to be more examiners, and the swapping system is just too complicated, I’ve stopped using the online booking system for instructors.

Failed my first test (only just was a little unfair tbh) and got a second test 3 weeks later. First test was before the rules and easy with an app. Second test was hell on earth - basically had to spend 3 days constantly on the website, kept getting kicked off, actually lost my marbles. Got very lucky with some random test dates and got one and passed. Found this guide handy tho 💗

Fact is until they train more examiners nothing is going to change and that won’t happen as wages are disgusting for examiners. Need to stop looking thru rose colour glasses 😌
