My 94 accord use to get like 450 to a tank of gas cars in the 90 got better gas mileage then and I believe my 85 crx use to get 40 miles to a gallon

ultimately people should always be checking the oil but the the fact of the matter is so many owners won’t. When a manufacturer claims it’s acceptable to burn a quart of oil every 1k miles they have inadvertently sold a vehicle that could burn up every drop of oil before they needed an oil change. I tell people this constantly after working at a Kia dealer where I was constantly changing engines on brand new vehicles

2018 GMC Sierra 1500. Already had torque converter and transmission replaced had 55% left on my oil change and got a message on the dash that said engine oil was low

My 97 S-10 4.3 2wd reg cab short bed 260,000 before a head gasket blew…. 1/4 of a qt every 3k miles. Not to consumption, leakage…. Wife’s 2021 6.2 Tahoe, 2qts every 5k miles….
