my dog does this when she has allergies and her throat hurts or her nose is runny! Zyrtec helps her. it could be a few different things but generally means their throat hurts

We also call this the gulpies. We went to the vet a few times for this. It was acid reflux for us. Vet can prescribe meds and also look into slippery elm.

My dog does this when she had reflux! Sometimes it's only for a few seconds, sometimes it last for like an hour. Hopefully Dune is ok ❤️

My dog does this occasionally too and it comes out of nowhere, it’s so weird… it’s almost like she swallows her own saliva wrong 😭😂 glad Duney is okay!🫶🏼
