It seems like you didnt get pissed off until people commented about the audiologist. I think she was just trying to get the conversation started because you were only saying hey and hi at first. I dont mean any disrespect at all. I think she just wanted to see him react a little bit more to more sounds. Im glad he is getting the help he needs! I've delt with many audiologist with my little one and she seems sweet!

The tech should have let Mom and Dad be the first voices he heard. My son's tech stayed quiet during the first hearing aid insertion so me and his father could be his first sounds. And it was a special moment.

yall, if you want your voice to be the first thing your child hears, please communicate that to your audiologist. their job is to ensure your child can hear. letting them hear your voice first is not. if this is very important to you, please don’t assume and make you sure you ask them beforehand.

Please know that the "tech" is a very highly trained and skilled pediatric audiologist (likely a Doctor of Audiology/Au.D.) who does this on a daily basis. You will notice that once she placed the second hearing aid, she was quiet for the most part. It's her job to evaluate the situation on an ongoing basis and part of that is prompting/facilitating which she can be her doing. Calling her a "tech" can be equated to calling a master chef someone who flips a burger, etc.
