@grace_lemire: can’t believe it’s been 9 months since I was diagnosed with endometriosis! for 12 years, I knew something was wrong. what started as just GI symptoms, anxiety, and extremely painful periods slowly grew over time to unbearable nerve pain, back pain, the list goes on!! it took 5 OBGYNS and countless visits to specialists looking at every symptom individually across 12 years to find one that validated how I felt and offered me surgery to diagnose! endometriosis is still under-diagnosed and under-researched, despite 1 in 8 women having it. I think it’s important to talk about so it finally gets the attention it deserves. so I just wanted to share this update to say - if you’re in a similar position with your health keep fighting for yourself, be your own best advocate!!! it is not normal to be in so much pain 💛#endometriosis #endometriosisawareness
