You shouldn’t even be throwing them into the Waste-bin in Germany stores are required to take old batteries back and get rid of them

I just put them INDIVIDUALLY into old food containers that are usually already sitting in the trash. A chip bag, a yogurt container, etc. as long as they don’t touch one another they’re safe-ish.
