@rorareset: It’s a mix of genetics + toxin exposure from the environment. Many pesticides and toxins such as paraquat, rotenone used in agriculture & fish farming, and organochlorine used in PVC plastic & heavy duty solvents, are the most studied, as well as other solvents, pesticides and metals. So I started asking myself, where can I lower my exposure? Filtered water, organic produce, especially for the most sprayed produce, ventilation & air purification, and better home cleaning are at the top. Fairly small things, that are doable. I can’t control my dad’s diagnoses, and I can’t control if and what genetics take over for me, but I can control my home and what I put in, and on, my body.
