finally someone said it, most characters in re0 are bland af, same goes for the worldbuilding, story and power system, the plot is so boring and every "plot twist" when subaru is dying over and over again feels so cheap, the writing is fine at best

prolly the most relatable take abt rz I've seen, like yeah it's hard to call it bad per se (it certainly has consistency issues🤧) but the characters are all so painfully uninteresting, they are all so...boring. imo I feel like that dissonance happens because of how much mc centric rz is, damn near all characters in rz depend on subaru for them to be "good", sometimes this works well in their favor, like for rui and beatrice (only for arc 4 though lol, after that she's lowk kinda ahh), sometimes this backfires tremendously, like it's the case for rem, reinhard, otto, garfield... so on and so forth.

Having Emilia as one of the only characters you like is wild for me. Though your opinion. Did you read or watch? For me I would not even put her in my top 10 or 15 favorite charactera from the series.
