Out of the approximately 250 patients we treat each day, around 60 come in with acute symptoms of malnutrition. They include children who have gone months without enough protein, essential vitamins, and nutrient-rich foods to support healthy growth and development. Our medical team carefully screens every patient by taking weight, measurements, and conducting clinical assessments using established malnutrition criteria. While specialized nutrition centers supported by humanitarian relief clusters provide therapeutic treatment for severe cases in the major population centers, our community clinic fills a critical gap by identifying children early and providing targeted nutritional support close to home.
