I don’t understand this mindset, I wouldn’t want my children to have a step mother they don’t want to be around if their dad isn’t there? That would be a red flag to me. I would want them to love her and want to spend time with her and have a home with her and their dad they can stay in even while their dad is at work for half the day or whatever.

Yes👏🏻. When it was my ex’s weekend to work I would still go to my step son’s hockey games with my daughter/his sister. He would always ask to come spend the rest of the weekend with us. Why would myself or bio mom say no to that. He wants to come and spend time with his little sister. He had 2 homes 🤷🏼♀️so he just wanted to go to the other one!
