I agree that there is absolutely no plot. I've read all 4 books and the plot keeps changing. Its a book about magic but barely any magic happens. Its so childish & messy but I still loved it. I can't wait for the 5th book to drop.

The story has so much potential. I found it annoying how often I had to keep reminding myself that Maggie is a grown woman and not a 15-year-old.

I liked the series BUT your critique is very valid. Also, the age threw me off. These characters are supposed to be 30 years old, but they read as 20. I had to abandon their ages and just pretend they’re undergrad students.

As someone who has read all four books and have liked them your critique is very valid there is a lot to be desired plot wise as well as dissatisfying character flaws, but I try to look on the brighter side.

I read the first three books of the series and will not be reading the others. I definitely enjoyed the books, but the plot is all over the place. Granger just KEEPS adding shit, creating new problems for literally no reason just for them to be solved a few chapters later. And I feel like the books are way too long for what happens, there’s so much filler.

I agree. I want to like it and I’m intrigued by the idea but after reading 3 of the 4 books I can tell you that it doesn’t get any better. There are sooo many plots that don’t find endings. It makes no sense! You can tell she doesn’t have an editor. I am quite surprised that she has gained this many followers and positive reviews honestly.
