@kangradgenral: Trapped in the worst situations 🕰️ Historical reference: Event I: Soviet Arctic Circle | July 1941 In the first reference, as a part of the Continuation War, the Operation Platinum Fox along the Arctic Circle towards Murmansk in July 1941 resulted in rather less intense clashes, with the German and Finnish troops still in heavy military activities by holding up the lines along Litsa against the Soviet army; meaning the Axis were not giving up the idea of fully abandoning the offensive as Murmansk during that time were still under Allied territories. Event II: Italian Peninsula | January-May 1944 Second reference, A few years later between January-May 1944, the Battle of Monte Cassino under the Italian Campaign saw the intervention of the American forces together with multiple Allied numbers such as the Polish, French, British and more, as well as Italians that stood against the Axis presence in and behind the Kingdom of Italy. Monte Cassino, the location before reaching Axis-held Rome, was one of the many events in Italy that would gradually liberate the nation by the hands of the Allied forces. Event III: "The Backrooms" | No specified date Quickly put, in this specific case of the soldiers setting traps that mysteriously leads to an empty liminal space is a direct reference of the "Backrooms", a fictional internet horror concept about a different dimension/world that can somewhat be entered by multiple methods; main ideas being "noclipping" as one does need to go through any solid object (e.g. walls) in order to get there, while others suggests entering doors that randomly appears by any means, or even sleeping in locations visually similar to the Backrooms and then wake up in said dimension. However, as many of these methods are random and accidental, a trap with the victims falling into the deep is just one of the vast interpretations.
