well it was up to god. he is omniscient, omnipotent and omnibenevolent right? so he knows everything way before it happens. he knew he would create a world, he knew he would create adam and eve as they were, he knew if he put that tree there eve was going to eat the apple, he knew what he was going to do as a result of that. so then why not just make the world differently from the start? if he is all of those things he has the power and love to make a world that is compatible with free will and no suffering. i know that logically that can’t work so that’s why i don’t believe in such a god but if there’s nothing he can’t do then why are you saying if it was up to him?

I thought he was all powerful why isn’t it up to him ? If your explanation is free will then that would mean god is not all powerful enough if he has the power to make the world better but continually chooses not to and leaves it up to us to make choices.
