I've learned 2 things: 1. never have more compassion for their trauma then you have for yourself. 2. don't believe in potential over action.

How do I recognize an avoidant in the early stages of dating?

Never knew what an avoidant was until 6 months ago. Now I can tell you everything. Still ended up discarded and I’ve abandoned myself and it’s affected my health.

Faahhhkkkk! If I only knew!🥺Every single time I accepted less bc he was struggling, having a difficult time, sick, broke, …. he then gave even less than that. The bread crumbs finally broke me. I quit.

I really thought something was wrong with me because I attract avoidant people. My strongest trait is my empathy, it is how I operate.

100%, I have learned this first hand over 2yrs and finally walked away and did the 21 day no contact. she tried to reach out through others but not once did she reach out herself. I did not go back this time, was hard but im so much better now. first 2 weeks were so hard.

It’s just hard because the second that I voice an opinion, question distance/inconsistency or establish boundaries they disappear. It has me so messed up

A lesson I learned in the hardest way possible. No amount of reason could have made me understand this lesson. I was convinced it was a virtue.

Yeah, I have done this enough.😂😂 You can still be nice without constantly putting people on pedestals of hope. Sometimes, when we are empaths, we are handholding situations where people constantly disappoint us. We actually facilitate these relationships.
