i personally found the book quite a bit more focused on Charlie as a whole rather than just his relationship with his friends and i really loved seeing how he interacted with Candace in it. I really wish I could’ve seen that dynamic with Logan Lerman’s version of Charlie because the book version was just too sheltered for my taste
