@lawyermomtammy: People often ask me if I recommend they go to law school? My usual answer over the many years has been if you have a strong desire to do something specific such as to be a doctor or a nurse or an engineer then you should study that field, of course. But if you are not sure a direction you want to go then there is no better education than the law. I practiced law for five years after graduating and since then have been a business owner and entrepreneur. One of my daughters, however, has recently graduated from law school and will be going into Big Law. . Our personalities are very different. Our lifestyles are different and I think for her it’s going to be the right choice. So whether it’s right for you is a very personal decision. ##lawschool##lawschooladmissions##lawyersoftiktok##lawyer##lawstudent

I was a hotel manager working 50-60 hours/wk, weekends, holidays, late nights. Law school, while academically hard, felt like a vacation. You mean, I just study 8 hours/day? Sign me up! Haha

I do think K-JD is so different from gap years, I worked a very hard manual labor job during my two gap years and law school is hard but I’m inside, safe, and seated 😂 I graduate this spring

The sad news is that you will not know until you are deep into it, and the Debt is also deep. Only go if you get a full scholarship. I have five friends that passed the bar and decided they didn’t want to do Law…. Those with full scholarships are living an accelerated life, and those who didn’t are working a job they like, but carry Debt with them that is very painful.

Someone needs to do a study on this. I worked as a paralegal during my gap year and did landscaping and concrete work on the weekends! I’m ready to start law school this fall!

She was making >$40k & living in an apartment with 11 other people. 12 ppl in a 4b/2b was all I needed to see. I came back to the college & met with the pre law-advisor
