For real. I used to struggle with this too. If you convince yourself that every interaction is predetermined by your looks or personality, you’ve already decided the outcome before even saying a word. And what a lot of people miss is that not every conversation is about attraction. Like you said, anyone can connect with someone over a class or something small. If someone’s default explanation for every failed interaction is something like “I’m not attractive enough,” they’re giving themselves a reason to never even try. But at some point, it stops being an explanation and more of an excuse.
