If you wet the wheel before put clay down sometime makes it easier to get it off when done

Flood the wheel head with water and then use the wire tool to drag the water under the pot and break the seal of clay . Sometimes you’ll need to do it twice so it won’t stick and the pot will glide off the wheel head and onto your wear board

if you wet the wheel and then wire the piece off it will help it move. Also if you use a metal rib to remove the slip from the piece and then dry your hands you might be able to pick it up (if its not too wet)

My teacher uses a damp chamois cloth to attach a wooden bat to her not attachable wheels - give it a go! I’ll try and take a pic next time I’m at the studio
