@sevynator: Oops- I accidentally dropped some doomed Barney lines- okay the spelling error is intended Headcanon: Intern has a surgery in the same hospital but doesn’t recall that at all and is stuck with that permanent blank smile face. He’s usually really quiet because no one could really understand him except for Barney and Secret Agent (tho secret agent doesn’t trust Barney one bit at all and wanted to hand him into the police which intern prevented it from happening). Intern genuinely likes Barney and always look forward to his visits because he’s nice to Intern and one of the few people that could understand him and take note of his feelings. Barney’s choice of leaving the hospital was to protect intern from himself because the coffee isn’t working well on him anymore and he doesn’t want to be the reason to hurt Intern. He decides to never come back to the hospital which broke Intern’s heart. He kept intern’s gift which was the lil star hair band that Intern gave when they first met.
