my apartment switched to ai phone service and it was the only way to put in a maintenance request but it NEVER worked. literally having mb on these phone calls screaming at the ai. i later found out the office of real people get the FULL audio message anytime someone talks to their ai

And then the person is like “oh yep, lemme fix that for you” and it’s all done in 15 seconds after I spent 5 minutes yelling at the ai to get me a person. I’d rather be put on hold with terrible elevator music.

One fun thing I've learned is that there's still a human being listening in on your conversation with the machine, and if you say "give me to a person or I'll blow my brains out with the line open and you can use THAT recording for your stupid training purposes" they'll pick up the phone and intervene FAST

As someone who receives phone calls for a living post AI interaction you get people who are just so happy to hear another human and they say as much or you get people telling you you need to remove the AI and as someone who is anti-AI I’m just like I wish but that’s not up to me. Otherwise, I would probably be getting paid a lot more.

You gotta make sure the prompt gets you what you want. I tell the AI bot to connect me with a person and anytime they try to help I let it know my issue is that I’m not talking with a person and the only solution would be to connect me with a person. Usually fast tracks the process.
