i don’t care what all of you say. rhythm heaven never had a “style” it was always like wario ware where each minigame had its own stylistic choice. i’m sad they chose the simplistic one instead of the one that’s way more appealing to look atz

I like both styles but the final is just better. For one it fits with the general style of most of rhythm heaven. Second of all, visual cues being one solid colour is so much better for gameplay, especially if you don't have the best rhythm. It's important to remember that rhythm heaven isn't meant to be a difficult rhythm game so having clear visual cues along with audio cues is incredibly important.

I think maybe it was a theme they had in mind like a realistic one and they scrapped it because why does only remix 5 have a superhero theme and every other one doesnt (unless im not there yet to see more)
