Love this Doc, and I love the recommendations❤️, but as a Pharmaceutical formulation scientist I have to comment on this. Zinc oxide itself is great for inflammation, but the VEHICLE matters. 40% diaper creams use ultra-heavy, occlusive bases (like mineral oil, wax, or petrolatum) designed to seal out moisture. On an acne-prone face, or people's skin who are prone to clogged pores, it can trap sebum, sweat, and bacteria, creating a perfect storm for breakouts. and La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5+ and Avène Cicalfate+ are clinically tested to be "non-comedogenic". However, there is a tradeoff. To get that creamy texture, they still use rich emollients like shea butter or plant oils. While they are great for a damaged skin barrier, if you are highly acne-prone, that rich vehicle can still trap sebum and clog your pores. but everyone's skin is different so it's not to say that it will or will not happen, so just be cautious. No hate just a bit of formulation chemistry❤️🙈
