why should a religious group have a right to a state of their own? Baptists don’t.. and a religion is Not an ethnicity. You can convert to Judaism. You can’t convert to an ethnicity like Chinese or Inuit. The notion is patently absurd. Besides, Israel has have forfeited any rights, they may have had under either of the two documents that underpinned the foundation of the israelí state i.e the Balfour declaration and the United Nations declaration 181 (ll) both of which insisted on the protection of the rights of the indigenous Palestinian population. Any assumed contractual obligation on behalf of the international community is therefore null and void since Israel has broken the contract.. and so in spite of its repeated claims it has no right to exist in international or moral Law. It does however have one option. A Self African style, truth and reconciliation commission., creation of a United Nations protectorate, one nation, Palestinian state with right of return for Palestinians, and exclusion of any Israelis not born there or descendants of pre 1948 inhabitants.
