@rachelreallyrecommends: Apparently the boyfriend is taking me out for dinner tonight. Or, to put it another way, after spending days building me a dressing room, I am generously allowing him to take me out as a reward. I know. I am kindness itself. 😂 Today’s mission was taking daytime makeup and turning it into something a little more evening-friendly without starting all over again. A quick spritz of water, freshening up the makeup, adding a little more eyeshadow, and pretending I have my life completely together. I also show how I use rollers to get root lift and volume because if I’m making the effort to leave the house, the hair is coming too. There’s something very satisfying about taking the rollers out at the end and watching everything come together. One minute I look like I’ve been sorting drawers and organising lipsticks all day, and the next I’m dressed, lipstick is on, hair is done, and I’m ready for a cocktail. Or several cocktails. No promises.
