هل تعلم أن السواد أو الزرقة تحت العينين قد لا يكون سببه الجلد نفسه، بل طريقة التنفس؟ إن التنفس الفموي المزمن، والذي يكون غالبًا نتيجة انسداد أو ضعف في التنفس الأنفي، قد يؤدي إلى احتقان أو تجمع الدم الوريدي (Venous Pooling) في الأوردة الدقيقة أسفل العينين. وعندما يتباطأ تصريف الدم الوريدي في هذه المنطقة، يصبح أكثر وضوحًا بسبب رقة الجلد تحت الجفن السفلي، فتظهر الهالات الداكنة أو الزرقاء لذلك، قد تكون هذه الهالات في بعض الأطفال علامة سريرية مبكرة تشير إلى وجود مشكلة في مجرى الهواء أو صعوبة في التنفس عبر الأنف، وليست مجرد مشكلة تجميلية. التنفس السليم لا ينعكس على صحة الرئتين فقط، بل يؤثر أيضًا في جودة النوم، ونمو الوجه والفكين، والصحة العامة، وحتى في مظهر العينين. لذلك، فإن علاج السبب الحقيقي، وليس إخفاء الهالات فقط، هو الخطوة الأهم للحفاظ على صحة الطفل ونموه بشكل سليم
