I don’t know why Robert didn’t think how it would affect his children

Alongside the perception of racism from the LAPD it also didn’t help that one of the central detectives on the case had a history of racist conduct which was used by the defence to evidence their argument that OJ was being discriminated against

Dude, the prosecution really fumbled the ball on this one. from jury selection to their lack of charisma.... like they thought they were going to win with the facts. but no one cared about the facts in La at that time cuz no one believed the facts

there's a small part of me that wonders if Robert helped OJ because OJ told him that his son was the murderer. I can see Robert wanting to protect a man that's protecting his child

I was at my aunt and uncle’s during the chase, and in the hospital the day of the verdict (I was hit by a car), and heard a lot of cars honking outside. I was 7/8 yrs old but remember it so vividly.

Prosecution didn’t do their job. I’ve read the trial and watched it in real time, and they didn’t prove he was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Mark Furhman was who lost that case for them, especially when he pled the 5th on stand. Introducing the glove was the final nail. Prosecution simply didn’t do their job.

I kept up with the trial because it was on all day in the long term care facility where I worked. OJ had been beloved by all races, none of us wanted to believe he did this. The evidence was very strong that he did it, the shoes he wore were a very big deal. His gloves shrank from being soaked in bl**d, then the storage process. Mark Furman really blew the case. When they played his comments using the N word many of us thought it was over. It became as you said, a win for the black community. The civil suit allowed more evidence in and it was more clear he had done it. A very tragic case, mostly about DV and jealousy.
